Welcome To PEACE & JUSTICE MYANMAR – PJM
Peace & Justice Myanmar (PJM) is the national non-profit organization performing to raise the standards and principles of democracy and civic virtue within Myanmar community.
PJM was founded in January 4th 2014, by mobilizing and facilitating network of peace and development, solidarity and harmony builders, coming together from different part of Myanmar and who in turn facilitated those who are interested in building peaceful society. Starting from 2014, PJM works as a non-government civil society organization, practicing neutrality, and has organized many trainings and workshops, related with the principles of democracy, including voter education trainings.
WHAT WE DO?
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
To empower women, that reinforce Myanmar’s women’s rights and that encourage the engagement of women in state building
PEACE BUILDING
To facilitate national reconciliation and peace building through peace education and women and youth empowerment for participation in peace processes.
CIVIC EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT
To educate and engage people particularly women and youth to actively participate in democratization process
ADVOCACY FOR CHANGE
To advocate for democratic changes in policies, laws, governance system and state & non-state institutions through collective civil society actions
